Job summary
A global risk management firm is seeking an experienced aviation insurance professional to lead their Aviation team in Singapore. The position involves driving strategic direction, growth, and performance of the aviation portfolio while providing market-leading advisory and brokerage solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aviation insurance, deep technical knowledge, and strong leadership abilities, along with a proven track record in business development and stakeholder management.

- Strong understanding of the Asian aviation market.

Education
We are seeking an experienced and highly regarded aviation insurance professional to build and lead our Aviation team in Singapore. Person holding this position will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, growth, and performance of the regional aviation portfolio, while delivering market‑leading risk advisory and insurance brokerage solutions to clients.
This is a leadership role within a global risk management and insurance brokerage firm, requiring deep technical expertise, strong market relationships, and proven people leadership capabilities.
- Define and execute Asia aviation insurance strategy in alignment with global objectives.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through new business development, client retention, and cross‑selling of aviation‑related solutions.
- Identify emerging risks, market trends, and opportunities within the aviation sector across Asia.
- Act as a trusted advisor to major aviation clients, including airlines, lessors, manufacturers, MROs, airports, and related aviation businesses.
- Oversee the placement and structuring of complex aviation insurance programmes, ensuring optimal coverage terms and pricing.
- Support key client relationships at senior executive and board level.
- Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with global and regional aviation insurers and reinsurers.
- Represent the firm in market negotiations for large and complex risks.
- Monitor insurer appetite, capacity, and underwriting trends across Asian markets.
- Develop and manage a high‑performing regional aviation team.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Extensive experience in aviation insurance, with a strong background in broking.
- Deep technical knowledge of aviation insurance products, placements, and claims.
- Strong understanding of the Asian aviation market, including regulatory and cultural considerations.
- Established relationships with key aviation insurers and industry stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and business development capability. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Credible leader with the ability to influence at senior and executive levels.
- Relevant professional qualifications in insurance or risk management (e.g. ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) preferred.
