Job summary
A recruiting firm in Singapore is seeking a professional to optimise laboratory layouts for new developments and A&A projects. The role involves conducting stakeholder workshops to understand workflows, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and developing functional diagrams. The ideal candidate will coordinate with consultants and contribute to developing internal design standards. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department leads for laboratory layout optimisation.
- Conduct workshops to translate user requirements into designs.
- Ensure planning complies with statutory and international standards.
- Develop diagrams, zoning layouts, and space programs.
- Review design documentation with consultants.
- Coordinate with teams throughout project phases.
- Develop planning tools and internal design standards.
- Collaborate with department leads to plan, design, and optimise laboratory layouts for new developments and A&A projects.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and meetings to understand operational workflows and translate user requirements into efficient spatial and functional programs.
- Ensure all planning and design work complies with current statutory requirements and relevant international standards, including Design for Safety, Design for Maintainability, and Universal Design.
- Develop functional diagrams, zoning layouts, adjacency matrices, and comprehensive space programs.
- Review and produce design documentation, working closely with architectural and MEP consultants.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and client-side project teams throughout all phases to ensure design clarity, alignment, and successful project execution.
- Contribute to the development of scalable planning tools, workflows, and internal design standards to support organisational growth and consistency.
