Job Description

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, ensuring the best quality and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and delivery terms that align with company objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure efficient communication.
• Analyze supplier performance through key metrics and reports to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Manage inventory levels by forecasting demand and collaborating with inventory management teams to avoid stockouts or excess stock.
• Prepare and present detailed purchasing reports and forecasts to management, highlighting trends and opportunities for cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and production to align purchasing strategies with overall business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements that could impact purchasing decisions.
• Implement sustainable purchasing practices and evaluate potential suppliers based on ethical sourcing and environmental impact.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities to mitigate risks.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within a relevant industry, demonstrating a track record of successful negotiations.
• Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly advantageous.
• Experience in a specific industry, such as retail, manufacturing, or technology, to bring relevant knowledge to the role.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Strong negotiation skills that can influence supplier partnerships and drive favorable contract terms.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency can be an asset, especially in diverse markets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
