Job purpose
This position manages end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring containers are pulled out and delivered from seaports to branches efficiently and on time. It coordinates with shipping, clearing, and transportation departments to maintain smooth and timely movement of goods. The role also supervises daily transportation and fleet operations, including air cargo handling and shipment monitoring. In addition, it collaborates with branch and product managers to align logistics activities with sales plans, storage capacity, and operational priorities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Follow up the pull-out and movement of containers from Dammam seaports to all branches according to priority and allocation.
- Coordinate with shipping, clearing, and transportation departments to ensure smooth clearance and timely delivery.
- Supervise daily transportation activities, including fleet operations, air cargo collection, and vehicle allocation across branches.
- Monitor & coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure goods are delivered efficiently and in good condition. Coordinate with branches to make sure for the space utilization for incoming containers.
- Ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
- Oversee daily reefer truck loading and ensure safe handling of perishable products.
- Communicate with branch/assistant managers to align logistics operations with sales allocations and storage capacity.
- Review and update sales projection plans with the products Category to adjust logistics priorities when required.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Logistics supervisor or in a similar logistics, supply chain, or transportation role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations including container movement, warehousing, inventory management, and customs clearance knowledge.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to work with multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with various departments and manage logistics staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to shipping and transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as professional logistics qualifications are a plus.
