Job description

WSP is looking for a Site Architect for a high-profile project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the architectural project deliverables to ensure they are successfully delivered on time.

Qualifications

• Degree educated, fully qualified Architect with over 12 years of postgraduate working experience and 8 years in KSA or GCC supervision roles, preferably with a recognized global architectural consultancy or reputed contracting company.
• Previous experience as a site-based architect, with detailed knowledge of post-contract supervision, including review of contractor’s shop drawings, submittals, and site inspection procedures, coordinating with clients & PMC.
• Experience with local authorities regulations, IBC & NBC codes, and compliance with FLS & civil defense codes.
• Proficient in reviewing architectural designs, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and samples, ensuring adherence to the concept & IFC drawings throughout construction.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM.
• Experience working on commercial, residential high-rise, or tall tower projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to build client relations and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project and supervise teams to deliver high-quality architectural projects, coordinating with local/international building codes such as IBC, NBC, NFPA, FLS, Civil Defense, BS-EN, SBC.
• Manage the project internally and interface with the client project team on all site architectural matters.
• Review work quality regularly to meet project standards.
• Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables with the required quality level.
• Review shop drawings, materials, and samples, ensuring adherence to concept & IFC drawings during construction.
• Coordinate with clients and authorities for approvals of samples and submissions.
• Maintain up-to-date architectural specifications.
• Implement employer requirements.
• Participate in design reviews aligned with QMS systems.
• Coordinate with the Design Architect for related packages and site queries.
