Sr Specialist - MH Export Operations

Reporting to: Manager- MH Export

Job Purpose

As an interface between the operations and management and controls warehouse areas and shipment, to ensure that all production activities are carried out timely, safely, and efficiently according to standard operating procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Health, Safety and Environment

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety guidelines and regulations and environmental conditions within specified norms and standards.

Operation Operability

• Review and monitor all aspects of warehouse and shipment operations and liaise closely with interfaces to ensure smooth operations and total management of the plant/port warehouses and shipment.

Efficiency of Operations

• Review the efficiency of the warehouse utilization, shipment and handling losses for raw material & final product.

Permit to Work Compliances

• Authorize permits to work specifying conditions to work safely and ensure compliance thereof.

Interface Communications & Co-ordination

• Constantly communicate, co-ordinate and provide feedback to team for ensuring smooth operations of the plant.
• Communicate and co-ordinate with the related Supervisors, maintenance, upstream and downstream departments.

Shut down and Start Up

• Ensure all actions are taken for the safe shutdown and start-up of the warehouse and shipment system in line with standard operating procedures

Manpower Management

• Support to organize required manpower to ensure that the warehouse and shipment operations are run efficiently.

Management Reports

• Report operational issues to Management in order to keep them updated about any relevant operational issues that affect production. Update daily Management Report for compilation and reference.

Evaluating Shift Performance

• Monitor and evaluate shift performance against the specific required standards set for the warehouse and shipment. Provide guidance and awareness in Safety and Plant Integrity.

Trouble Shooting and Decision Making

• Generate quick and prompt decisions making solutions to resolve operating problems to meet the shift production targets in the warehouses and shipment.

Lead role for support in emergency situations

• Support for all emergency situations in the plant and coordinate closely with the other shift supervisors/safety personnel to undertake the lead role in handling the situation.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent education. Experience & sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical processes in continuous running plants for warehouse & shipment operations.

Minimum Experience

• 10~15 years of operational experience in fertilizer or chemical processes as a warehouse/shipment coordinator. Preferably with experience in the same type of process.
