General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Overview
  • Identify risks associated with the projects.
  • Manage the Risk Register.
  • Properly articulate and address challenges and issues to Management in a timely manner.
  • Develop a plan for mitigating identified risks.
  • Provide reports on potential risks and their corresponding responses.
  • Offer guidance on the Probability and Impact Matrix for each project.
  • Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to pinpoint, evaluate, and assess risk issues emerging from different phases in the project lifecycle.
  • Formulate and execute a risk management plan for construction projects, delineating processes to minimize risks.
  • Engage in tasks related to contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost analysis.
  • Contribute to the management of costs, claims related to cost and time, change order procedures, and conflict resolution.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Management from a western university.
  • Minimum of 17+ years of experience in Engineering and/or Project Management and in a functional role as Risk Manager on engineering projects
  • International and GCC experience is required
  • Proven experience and skills in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives and finding solutions.
  • Reliability and initiative to succeed without direct supervision.
  • Understanding the Israeli aspects of the context in the Kingdom.
  • Proven experience and familiarity with commercial risk management practices and procedures, preferably in a similar cutting context.
  • Previous experience in identifying risks (costs/schedule quality/safety).
  • Previous experience maintaining risk management databases (e.g. Active Risk Management program)
  • Previous experience with ERM procedures.
