Eram Talent, a leading Talent Acquisition Consultancy focused on connecting skilled professionals with top-tier companies, is currently seeking a Microalgae Plant Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in supporting the operations of a cutting-edge microalgae production facility where sustainable technology meets innovation.

The Microalgae Plant Technician will support algae facilities operation, help for seaweed wild harvest and post processing, support greenhouse work for plants experiment. Main tasks are culture scale up, microalgae culture operation at large scale, maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, day to day record of different culture parameters, help with the operation of the downstream process, basic lab duties.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor microalgae production systems and equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure efficient plant operations
  • Support wild seaweed harvesting and assist in post-harvest processing activities.
  • Experience with large-scale microalgae culture operations, including culture scale-up and downstream processing support.
  • Record daily culture parameters such as temperature, pH, salinity, and biomass density accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in all activities
Requirements
  • Technical diploma or degree in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in algae cultivation, seaweed harvesting, aquaculture, or related agricultural/marine operations.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance, cleaning of equipment, and facility upkeep.
  • Understanding of microalgae cultivation processes is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and perform manual tasks as needed
  • Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
