Hiring: Mechanical Section Head – Operations & Maintenance (Thermal Power Plant)

Rabigh, Saudi Arabia

Lead the mechanical maintenance function at a major thermal power plant. Oversee preventive, corrective, and outage-related mechanical maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations that support continuous power generation.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and execute all types of mechanical maintenance, including monthly/annual outages and major overhauls.
  • Ensure availability of strategic spare parts and consumables, managing requisitions within budgetary limits.
  • Apply deep knowledge of thermal power plant systems to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Supervise and guide maintenance teams in executing mechanical work orders through CMMS (SAP).
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of boilers, turbines, pumps, piping, and other critical mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and IMS requirements.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, implementing corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
  • Conduct competency gap analysis, provide on-the-job training, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Drive effective resource utilization and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 10–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance for power plants or heavy industrial facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of conventional thermal power plant systems, outage planning, and O&M practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP (end-user level) and computer literacy (MS Outlook, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate maintenance teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
