Overview
The Manager Schedule Planning is responsible for producing and delivering a commercially and operationally optimized schedule across all operations, ensuring regulatory compliance with respect to schedule change activities.
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, implement, track and report schedule needs for operations, crew scheduling, maintenance planning, revenue management and network planning
- Develop and deploy short and long-term flight schedules (3 days – 1 year), including seasonal adjustments and operating plans
- Develop long-term plans to assist in evaluating future fleet requirements and network expansion
- Manage slot portfolio, coordinate with respective authorities for submissions and approvals
- Ensure schedule is filed and maintained with different reservation systems
- Maintain schedule integrity along with high aircraft utilization
- Continuously optimize the schedule to cater for demand across the network, analyze connectivity of the current network to improve overall network load factor
- Run scenario-based analysis in coordination with Network Planning Manager and Revenue Management to improve flight times
- Identify tactical deployment of aircraft for short term in liaison with operations and provide input to service recovery situations
- Participate in maintenance programs and proactively incorporate all maintenance program requirements in the schedule well in advance
- Identify and communicate opportunities with relevant stakeholders to increase asset utilization
- Continuously evolve schedule to improve aircraft utilization
- Continuously improve to reduce downtime between flights
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in aviation discipline, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in airline scheduling, including at least 2 years of work experience on Airflite/NetLine/Oasis/Zu
- Analytical skills
