Job summary

A reputable energy and drilling services company is seeking a Legal Manager to support its Legal & Compliance Department. The role involves managing contract review, compliance, and litigation coordination. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Law, a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate law, and strong negotiation skills. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. Willingness to relocate to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is necessary.

A reputable energy and drilling services company based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is hiring a Legal Manager to support its Legal & Compliance Department.

The Legal Manager will be responsible for managing contract review, negotiation, compliance, and litigation coordination while maintaining high-quality legal governance and professional standards within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including procurement agreements, drilling and oilfield services contracts, and rig build and shipyard contracts.
  • Manage engagement with external legal counsel on litigation, advisory, and consultancy matters.
  • Ensure effective implementation and enforcement of legal policies and procedures, including the contract management framework.
  • Provide proactive legal advice and support to operational, procurement, and management teams.
  • Monitor and manage legal risk across the business and ensure compliance with local and international laws.
  • Review and improve internal templates and procedures to standardize contracting processes.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, legal opinions, and reports for senior management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Legal on all legal and compliance matters, operating with minimal supervision.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized university; preference for candidates educated under a Common Law system.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate law, with exposure to oilfield services, drilling, or maritime industries.
  • Experience managing both in-house corporate legal work and external law firms.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, work ethic, and ability to maintain high-quality legal output under pressure.
  • Professional maturity, proactive approach, and the ability to work autonomously without micromanagement.
  • Experience from Big Four advisory firms or consultancy environments is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English; Arabic language is an advantage.
  • Willingness to relocate to Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia;
