A leading logistics company in Jeddah seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee nationwide operations. Responsibilities include managing transportation, warehousing, and freight forwarding activities while ensuring profitability and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in logistics management, strategic decision-making, and customer relationship management. This role requires leadership capabilities to develop high-performance teams and optimize operational efficiency.
1. Lead nationwide logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and control tower activities.
2. Manage P&L performance, ensuring revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability across all operational units.
3. Oversee daily workflow, productivity, and service KPIs across all stations.
4. Ensure compliance with operational policies, regulatory requirements, customs standards, and safety protocols.
5. Oversee capacity planning, fleet utilization, warehousing efficiency, and resource allocation.
6. Manage end‑to‑end freight forwarding operations (air, sea, cross‑border, import/export).
7. Drive inbound/outbound performance (ISQI, OSM KPIs) to meet customer SLAs.
8. Strengthen network partnerships with airlines, shipping lines, agents, and customs authorities.
9. Enhance processes for shipment planning, routing, customs documentation, and cargo handling.
10. Support Sales teams to achieve account growth, customer acquisition, and revenue targets.
11. Conduct weekly customer visits to ensure service satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
12. Build and maintain strong external relationships with clients, regulators, and partners.
13. Ensure customer complaints are resolved quickly through cross‑functional collaboration.
14. Lead sourcing strategies for freight capacity (air/sea/land), warehousing capacity, and operational vendors.
15. Negotiate rates with carriers, transporters, warehouse operators, and service providers.
16. Evaluate, select, and manage vendor performance through structured SLA/KPI frameworks.
17. Build cost‑efficient procurement models to enhance gross margin and reduce total landed cost.
18. Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performance teams across all operational functions.
19. Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability for supervisors, managers, and frontline staff.
20. Facilitate capability building, coaching, and succession planning aligned to BU growth.
21. Promote a culture of safety, ownership, customer service, and teamwork.
22. Implement operational excellence frameworks to enhance productivity and quality.
23. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across route planning, warehouse processes, freight flow, and customs coordination.
24. Ensure DSO, payables, and operational costs remain within budget and company policy.
25. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalation protocols, and contingency plans.
