A Saudi contracting company is seeking a skilled General Accountant to oversee financial operations in Dammam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting and have 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance operations.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years’ experience in Accounting & Finance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting system.
  • Handle Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
  • Support monthly/yearly closing & statutory audits.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Experience with financial reporting and analysis
Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Education

Reports to: Finance Manager

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting system.
  • Bank Reconciliation & Trial Balance
  • Handle Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Support monthly/yearly closing & statutory audits
  • Assist with VAT & WHT compliance (ZATCA)
  • Prepare accurate reports & ensure smooth financial operations
Preferred Candidate
  1. Bachelor’s / Master’s in Accounting (ICMAI / CMA / ACCA preferred)
  2. 4–5 years’ experience in Accounting & Finance operations
  3. Strong knowledge of MS Excel & accounting software
  4. Excellent analytical & reconciliation skills
  5. Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  11. Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  12. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
