Job description
Scope and Purpose

Provide onsite technical support for Banknote Processing Systems installed at customer premises.

Ensure high-quality service delivery and establish strong relationships with customer operational teams through technical expertise and reliability.

Perform maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and general upkeep of intralogistics components, including fault diagnosis and basic troubleshooting, in accordance with contractual obligations.

Handle and troubleshoot components such as electronics, sensors, motors, PLCs, drives, CAN bus, and Profinet systems.

Manage mechanical components including rollers, conveyors, belts, and bearings, ensuring optimal performance through regular maintenance and issue resolution.

Execute software backups and perform system upgrades as required.

Key Result Areas & Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Banknote Processing Systems and associated peripheral equipment.
  • Carry out installation and commissioning of G&D products in accordance with project requirements.
  • Provide technical support via telephone to assist customers with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Document service activities and spare parts usage in compliance with G&D policies.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including ordering and replenishment as needed.
  • Deliver first and second-level support by analyzing customer inquiries and reported issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to third-level support when necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding the status of their service requests and the progress of solutions.
  • Conduct both in-house and on-site training sessions for users as required.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Strong practical skills, with a hands-on approach to working with electromechanical systems.
  • Proficient in using tools and measurement instruments for diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
  • Excellent technical understanding, with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and with great attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety standards, with a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiar with basic mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Flexible to work in various shifts based on operational requirements.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
