Overview
The Clinical Instructor will provide clinical instruction and mentorship to dental students in the General Dentistry program, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, patient care, and professional development. This role is essential in guiding students through practical dental procedures, enhancing both their technical and interpersonal skills, and ensuring they achieve the academic and clinical competencies required for progression in the program.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship to students in General Dentistry.
- Participate actively in committees, meetings, projects, and departmental activities.
- Review and optimize clinical operations to improve quality of practice and patient care.
- Ensure safe and appropriate measures are implemented to protect students, patients, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain safe and effective clinical conditions at all times.
- Respond promptly to information requests, reports, and documentation requirements.
- Oversee and support improvements in patient experience, satisfaction scores, and compliance with national guidelines.
- Collect, document, and submit student learning assessments as required.
- Actively contribute to the development of students, residents, and fellows.
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to continuous improvement within the clinical and educational environment.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in general dentistry with proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures.
