Overview
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Procurement Lead (Associate) Architect in AlUla, KSA. The role heads the Program procurement element for AtkinsRéalis Program Delivery Office (PDO) / Program Management Consultant (PgMC) in support of the AlUla Program, in liaison with the Client and their consultants and representatives. The Procurement Lead (Associate) will report to the PDO / PgMC Commercial Director and will ensure procurement activities comply with approved processes and procedures. The role may provide input for strategic procurement decisions and will involve direct management of the procurement team.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day procurement activities for the AlUla Program, in conjunction with on-site/project procurement efforts.
- Develop, draft, and implement project-specific standard procurement templates and procedures, in collaboration with the Client and their consultants; ensure dissemination and effective implementation at the PMC level.
- Provide inputs for procurement strategies based on program requirements; oversee preparation of procurement strategies by the team.
- Manage procurement packages across the full lifecycle: EOI, pre-qualification, NDA (if required), RFP/ITT issuance, tender evaluation (technical and commercial), negotiations, and final tender recommendation and contract award.
- Post-contract activities include tracking contractor performance and maintaining procurement trackers; ensure market knowledge remains current and incorporate improvements to processes and templates.
- Report procurement progress and ensure deliverables align with approved processes; monitor future workload on the critical path and escalate issues as needed.
- Provide supervision to Procurement Managers and contribute to extending PgMC scope to oversee other pre- and post-contract PMCs as required by the Client.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years of experience with at least 12 years of commercial procurement experience; minimum 10 years in procurement/supply chain roles within described sector environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent; MCIPS preferred.
- Client-facing abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrable strategic approach and methodology.
- Experience in procurement transformation and international supply chain management; sector experience in construction, hospitality (construction of hotels/mixed-use developments), arts & culture (museums/art projects), healthcare & education (hospitals/clinics), sports & leisure (stadiums/venues), and infrastructure.
