Job summary
A global food industry leader in Monterrey seeks an accounting professional to oversee financial reporting, manage statutory books, and support audits. This role requires generating financial statements, optimizing financial controls, and collaborating with various teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in accounting and 3-5 years of experience. Mastery of Microsoft Office and experience with Microsoft Dynamics are preferred.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related experience in accounting, manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Solid computer skills, especially in Excel and Word.
- Fully bilingual.
Responsibilities
- Generate financial statements including income statement and balance sheet.
- Optimize financial controls for efficiency and risk reduction.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations.
- Support audits with proper documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial decision-making.
- Lead and mentor team members in the department.
- Approve expense reimbursements and manage payroll processes.
- Close the books and ensure transaction completeness.

This role is the main point of contact for accounting and reporting in the corresponding country. It will ensure proper reporting to Corporate in US GAAP while keeping local records in its corresponding Statutory books. It will ensure timely and complete reporting to government dependencies. He / She will be the main point of contact for KPMG audits.
- Generating financial statements – preparing the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow report
- Optimizing financial controls – refining policies to improve efficiency and reduce risks
- Prepare and review account reconciliations
- Supporting audits – ensuring documentation and compliance for internal or external reviews
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and support financial decision-making.
- Supervision: Leading and mentoring team members within the R2R department
- Approving expense reimbursements and managing payroll processes
- Closing the books – ensuring all transactions, adjustments, and reconciliations are completed
- Supporting leadership in business planning
- Preparing financial reports for internal stakeholder
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four year college or university with 3-5 years related experience, manufacturing experience a plus
- Solid computer skills with Microsoft Office required, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and BPC software a plus.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Fully bilingual.
