A leading e-commerce company is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist to manage safety standards and promote a positive safety culture in Cuautitlán Izcalli. Responsibilities include conducting audits, training associates, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Formación

  • 2+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • STPS regulation IMSS following and other governmental dependences in MX.

Amazon Fulfillment is seeking a full‑time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to serve as a designated safety representative for their assigned fulfillment center (FC). The WHSS will coordinate and implement all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership. The WHSS promotes a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits, maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, reporting to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems, supporting management to ensure compliance with corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws, conducting risk assessments (Job Hazard Analysis) and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management including ergonomics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and inform management of compliance issues, risks and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly and monthly audits.
  • Facilitate incident investigation processes.
  • Maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and regulations.
  • Enter incident information in internal databases in a timely manner.
  • Perform observations and audits.
  • Train and assist others (Area Managers, team members, etc.) to complete their responsibilities (audits, follow rules, etc.).
  • Perform specific training as required by management.
  • Additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management or other related activities depending on the business unit and location.
  • Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) related field
  • STPS regulation IMSS following and other governmental dependences in MX
  • Experience in emergency response
  • Experience in workers' compensation case management
