Formación

  • 3-5 years of VMware and system administration experience required.
  • VCP5 or equivalent experience is a must.

Systems Administrator – VMware

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provision, build and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure in a multi-customer environment
  2. Provision, build and maintain the monitoring and alerting infrastructure in a multi-customer environment
  3. Respond to and resolve 2nd and 3rd level incidents and problems across Virtual Server infrastructure within agreed SLA’s and change management processes
  4. Design and deliver Virtual infrastructure in line with enterprise standards, principles and policies
  5. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Infrastructure and Applications areas
  6. Implement pro-active preventative maintenance processes and procedures
  7. Maintain operational documentation including configuration management database
  8. Troubleshoot complex issues.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • Must have knowledge and experience in VMware vSphere:
    • VM deployment, customization, and automation (Orchestrator)
    • vCenter Support and configuration
    • vRealize Suite (Automation, Operations, Log Insight, Lifecycle Manager)
    • VSS and vDS support and configuration according to Network Topology
    • Customization and tuning of vSphere environment
    • ESXi setup and configuration
    • Troubleshooting Performance issues
  • Knowledge on Zerto, installation and configuration skills
  • Experience with scripting and automation. The ideal candidate would have advanced experience writing and reading scripts in Powershell/PowerCLI
  • Candidate has experience in multiple enterprise level hardware platforms:
    • HPE hardware (Blades and Chassis both C-Class and Synergy, DL Series), OneView
  • Experience with Cisco Intersight to manage UCS chassis and blade systems
  • Linux OS experience (Oracle, Redhat)

Optional Experience:

  • Windows Server
  • OVM/KVM
  • Experience with JavaScript and Ansible
  • Enterprise Storage (3Par, Pure)
  • Hyperconverged solutions like Nutanix, VxRail and Hyperflex

  • Have strong inter-personal and communication skills: capable of training users in complex topics and making presentations to internal groups
  • Able to write intricate system and user documentation. Capable of writing and explaining purchase justifications

Our Requirements:

  • Minimum Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science or related field
  • Three to five years of VMware and system administration experience
  • VCP5 or equivalent Experience
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience
  • Basic Networking Knowledge
  • Basic Storage Knowledge (3PAR / Pure)

Optional (These are not required but make a plus):

  • HP HW support (Blades – BL460 G8/G9/G10)
  • Cisco UCS
