Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies in collaboration with governments, regulators, utilities, and industry associations.
- Lead strategic sales initiatives, including multi-year bookings plans, direct and partner-based engagements, and opportunity prioritization across countries and verticals.
- Build and execute multi-year bookings plan to budget.
- Own and execute the booking (sales) and revenue plan to achieve annual booking and growth targets.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of pilots, initial rollouts, and large-scale programs.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders to influence policy, regulatory frameworks, and customer decision-making.
- Prioritize opportunities across countries, utilities, and verticals using market insights and relationships.
- Lead direct sales engagements and leverage channel and strategic partners to expand market access.
- Cultivate trusted executive relationships with utilities, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Translate customer challenges into profitable, sustainable, and ESG‑aligned solutions.
- Serve as the regional voice of the customer to internal teams for product and service innovation.
- Lead the negotiation and closing of complex, high-value contracts.
- Differentiate offerings through a strong understanding of competitive positioning, technology, ESG impact, and value drivers.
- Partner with utilities and governments to design and implement smart grid solutions that reduce technical and commercial losses, integrate renewable energy, and lower carbon emissions.
- Support country‑level net‑zero and sustainability commitments by aligning solutions with decarbonization roadmaps and climate policy.
- Influence regulatory and policy environments in collaboration with governments and agencies to support adoption of smart grid, AMI, and IoT solutions that drive energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
- Drive ESG‑aligned innovation by aligning smart grid solutions with national decarbonization goals and climate policies.
- Structure and negotiate complex, high‑value contracts that differentiate Trilliant’s offerings through technology, sustainability impact, and competitive positioning.
- Demonstrate core competencies including strategic market development, complex sales cycle management, executive‑level stakeholder influence, ESG‑driven innovation, and bilingual communication.
- Define and execute new growth strategies for new customer sales pursuits.
- Provide thought leadership to stakeholders in the market development process that demonstrates and differentiates Trilliant’s value proposition.
- Lead the development of go‑to‑market strategies, associated action plans, and marketing plans.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in senior sales / business development roles within utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi‑year sales cycles in government and large enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, procurement cycles, and utility operations in the region.
- Existing executive relationships within utilities, regulators, and industry associations preferred.
- Knowledgeable of smart grid technologies (AMI, metering, distribution automation, demand response, RF / PLC / cellular communications).
- Experience influencing policy and regulatory environments to support ESG and decarbonization goals.
- Strategic market development and execution.
