A leading hospitality provider is seeking a Venue Manager for Palco and Platea hospitality in Morelia, Mexico. This role involves managing hospitality services for major events, coordinating with vendors, and leading a team to ensure the best guest experiences. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in event management, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and possesses excellent organizational skills. The position offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity for travel and flexibility.

Formación

In addition to being the Official Hospitality Provider for the FIFA World Cup, On Location partners with the Mexico City Stadium to provide hospitality services to Palco and Platea ticket holders.

Venue Manager – Palco & Platea Hospitality

We are seeking an in‑market Venue Manager who will act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for Palco and Platea hospitality. The role will be responsible for leading the delivery of services including the following:

  • Managing vendors that provide host/hostess, access control/security, catering, furniture, florals, entertainment, cleaning and waste management, gifting, wristbands, uniforms, and other design elements.
  • Producing interior environmental design elements and overseeing menu development and catering service levels.
  • Providing oversight on the environmental design of hospitality spaces.
  • Training and managing all contracted staff for catering, host/hostess, access control/security positions.
  • Developing documentation to guide operations in the lead‑up to and during each match for each hospitality space.
  • Supporting the build of a system to credential guests for access to hospitality spaces included in applicable Stadium Hospitality Products.
  • Providing customer support for hospitality customers.
  • Being part of the On Location management team that advises on product inclusions, guest experience details, and marketing strategy.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Lead project management efforts, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with venue owners, operators, event contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Build and manage a small, effective team to deliver hospitality outcomes.
  • Assist with planning site visits, coordinating venue‑related meetings, and scheduling.
  • Support coordination, scheduling, and preparation of materials for cross‑functional venue operational planning.
  • Monitor key dates, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring timely progress and adherence to timelines.
  • Assist with budget development, tracking, and analysis in line with financial objectives.
  • Support preparation and delivery of internal reporting and status tracking across venue‑related workstreams.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sports, venue, or event management, working on major events, venue operations, or event production.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and executing events of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent bilingual (English and Spanish) verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple large–scale tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; working knowledge of Smartsheet preferred.
  • Strong team‑building and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
