A global engineering consulting firm is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to establish a high-performing talent acquisition function in Mexico. The role involves developing strategies to attract and hire top engineering talent. Responsibilities include leading a team of recruiters, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and analyzing talent demand forecasts. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in talent acquisition and a deep understanding of the local talent market. This position operates in a hybrid environment and requires fluency in Spanish and English.

Talent Acquisition Manager - Mexico

Role Summary

We are in the early stages of establishing our Global Capability Center in Mexico, and this role will be instrumental in building a high‑performing, best‑in‑class Talent Acquisition function.

The Talent Acquisition team will focus on attracting and hiring top engineering talent at scale to support the growth and innovation of our North America business.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the talent strategy from the ground up and play a key role in the long‑term success of our Mexico GCC.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with executive and senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning.
  • Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of recruiters and talent partners.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Establish and standardize recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes across the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders to anticipate and fulfil ongoing staffing needs.
  • Set and achieve key hiring metrics such as time‑to‑fill, cost‑per‑hire, diversity goals, and satisfaction scores.
  • Organize employer branding initiatives and recruitment events to enhance talent attraction.
  • Analyse talent demand forecasts and address workforce planning issues through structured action plans.
  • Oversee recruitment analytics, define KPIs, and continuously improve strategies based on data insights.
  • Identify and implement innovative sourcing tools, platforms, and recruitment technologies.
  • Drive Inclusion & Belonging initiatives across all hiring practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including agencies, universities, and job boards.
  • Leverage technology and tools (e.g., ATS, CRM) to streamline and scale recruitment operations.
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior Talent Acquisition role, preferably as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar.
  • Proven experience leading Talent Acquisition within a Shared Services or Global Capability Center environment in Mexico, with deep expertise and understanding of the local talent market.
  • Proven experience leading recruitment teams across multiple geographies or business units, combining a strategic mindset with strong team management capabilities.
  • Operationally astute with a hands‑on approach to establishing and managing end‑to‑end recruitment processes and activities.
  • Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments, maintaining agility and focus under pressure.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior Global stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, recruitment marketing, and employer branding.
  • Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field; MBA or advanced HR qualification preferred.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English.
