What will you do?
The Logistics Area Supervisor is responsible for ensuring operational excellence within their designated area, focusing on safety, ergonomics, and continuous improvement through the 6S methodology. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
- Accountability for safety, ergonomics, and 6S within their area.
- Responsible for training and certification of their team, contributing to updates of the skills matrix (direct reports).
- Lead start‑up meetings, setting the daily objectives.
- Knowledge and management of problem‑solving processes.
- Responsible for moving or reassigning team members to other functions according to changes and/or priorities.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of logistics area procedures.
- Responsible for inventory management and corrections to maintain required accuracy.
- Annual inventory, from pre‑counts to completion.
- Drive actions to achieve service level targets in terms of quality, delivery time, and productivity objectives.
- Management of logistics KPIs.
- Ensure the accuracy of information provided for decision‑making.
- Receiving various types of non‑standard materials.
- Knowledge and application of the KANBAN system.
- Customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics.
- Knowledge of material supply and flow processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Availability to work rotating shifts.
- High sense of responsibility and ownership of area.
- Material handling and care.
- Ability to manage personnel effectively.
- Adaptability to changing situations and dynamic environments.
- Flexibility to meet diverse operational requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
