Una empresa de ingeniería global en Xico, Veracruz, busca un Supervisor de Ingeniería de Valor y Componentes para liderar un equipo en la identificación de oportunidades de ahorro en costos y rediseño de productos. Se requieren habilidades de diseño mecánico, al menos 5 años de experiencia en ingeniería mecánica, y dominio de herramientas CAD como CREO y Solid Works. Este rol implica un enfoque constante en la reducción de costos mientras se mantiene la calidad del producto.
The purpose is the cost reduction of electronic and mechanical components and products through the identification and qualification of alternative sources and the redesign of current products. This is a continuous project that focuses on cost reduction of existing mass volume products across Honeywell HBT Building Management Systems portfolio (BMS). As the examples of the products can be mentioned electronic thermostats, building controllers, control panels, field devices, etc. The responsibility of Value and Component Engineering Supervisor is to lead a team and hand's on identifying product cost savings opportunities through vendor change of current components as well as through circuit and mechanical design changes. Lead projects that implement these changes, cooperate with the design teams and ISC (integrated supply chain), prepare test plan, perform tests of the component and final product in the laboratory, prepare test report – all that to make sure the product after cost reduction change works as per specification and with unchanged quality. Implement the change in the mass production factory. Be prepared for multitasking. Good communication and negotiation skills are required on daily base in connection with enablers involved in these projects – Design teams, ISC, Manufacturing site, Suppliers.
