About The Role

The Content Strategist is a crucial, client-facing role that is responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders. The Strategist handles more Enterprise clients and is expected to have a deep understanding of their service line and how it impacts other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy. Internally, this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.

What You\'ll Do
  1. Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices to achieve NSMs. Build the initial client strategy using project phases and continuously optimize based on the client’s marketing goals, campaigns, and historical performance while following Directive best practices.
Note: work with the Associate Director (AsD) to address roadblocks, craft creative briefs and content campaigns, and align with competitor and audience insights. Include LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production as core considerations.

  2. Goal Setting: Use available data to set client goals during engagement. Goals must be approved by the Associate Director (AsD) who should attend the meetings. Data sources include Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting.

  3. Project Management: Ensure the planned strategy is executed. Use Asana for project management, delegate tasks to team members and clients, and ensure timely completion. Partner with Project Managers to create and assign tasks and dates, and coordinate with content writers and designers to deliver campaigns on time and to quality standards.

  4. Internal and External Communication: Serve as the main interface between clients and the team. Build relationships beyond deliverables and proactively communicate with clients and internal leadership about timelines, progress, roadblocks, opportunities for account growth, and any strategy changes.

  5. Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact to clients. Cadence: bi-weekly meetings with NSM progress and deliverables, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and two bi-annual business reviews.

What You\'ll Bring
  • A proven track record of success around implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building

  • Analytical insight: ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics

  • Strong communication skills: comfortable client-facing and owning relationships with key stakeholders

  • Strong familiarity with industry tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/crawling tools

  • Proven organizational, project, and time management skills

  • Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO and Content

  • Must have agency experience

  • Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience

Goals
  1. NSM Attainment: 100%

  2. MRR Retainment: 96%

  3. CSAT > 4.2

  4. Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals

  5. Strategists should regularly seek opportunities for client growth, including expanding services or budgets and asking for referrals at key moments (e.g., when a point of contact starts a new job).
