A medical device company in Tijuana is seeking a self-motivated Staff Software Test Engineer. The role involves overseeing software quality assurance efforts for web-based development, creating test plans, and guiding the QA team. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of QA experience, including leadership roles. The position offers hybrid working arrangements, requiring on-site work at least three times a week.

Formación

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, preferably in real-time systems within regulated industries.
• At least 2 years of experience in a lead or senior QA role.
• Deep understanding of QA principles, software testing best practices, and quality metrics.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with the software development team to identify improvements.
• Create and execute test plans, test designs and test cases.
• Provide direction/guidance to the QA team.
• Keep track of the Testing board and tools inventory for the team.

Conocimientos

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English

Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

Prior experience in a software testing or software quality assurance team

Strong interpersonal, documentation, and presentation abilities

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Herramientas

Experience with modern development and QA tools
