A global innovation company is seeking a Senior Trademark Analyst to join their Global Legal Service Center in León, Mexico. In this role, you will support the Trademark Work Group by managing trademark databases, conducting enforcement activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must hold a law degree and have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Job Description:
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Senior Trademark Analyst will be part of the Global Legal Service Center (GLSC) and will support the Trademark Work Group, which assists 3M to obtain, maintain, and enforce 3M’s brands.

The Senior Trademark Analyst will report to the GLSC Trademark Work Group lead and work closely with the Global Trademark Team to support and lead trademark projects. The role involves researching and analysing information, ensuring case requirements are met, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate data across systems. The position also communicates best practices, interprets trademark guidelines, and promotes adherence to established processes in collaboration with the workgroup lead.

Responsibilities:
  • Trademark Online and offline enforcement activities including Anti-Dilution and anti- counterfeiting activities
  • Domain and Website Monitoring
  • Trademark Docketing and Renewal activities
  • Management of Trademark databases and portfolio management including prosecution and opposition management
  • Ensuring copyright and compliance
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in law with high academic credentials from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of trademark prosecution and/or watch notice experience
  • IP Management System experience, preferably Anaqua and trademark brand protection databases such as Corsearch.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online brand monitoring tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, attention to details and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to establish priorities, balance multiple tasks and deadlines at one time and effectively manage competing priorities.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Certifications or additional qualifications in IP.
  • Experience in working in teams.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Experience in Multinational Corporations in a similar field of expertise.
