A Managed Service Provider is seeking a Senior Technician / Server Administrator to support Windows Server-based accounting applications. In this remote role, you'll administer server environments, troubleshoot escalated issues, and contribute to documentation and cloud migration projects. You will work approximately 30 hours a week, ensuring timely support for U.S. clients. Candidates with prior experience in MSPs or U.S. accounting firms are highly encouraged to apply.
Our client is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) that delivers specialized technical support and consulting services to U.S. accounting firms and professional service organizations. They are seeking an experiencedSenior Technician / Server Administrator with deep expertise supporting Windows Server–based U.S. accounting applications in multi-user environments.
This position will play a critical role in administering complex server-based accounting systems, handling escalated support issues, and ensuring customers receive timely and accurate technical assistance.
Install, update, configure, and support Windows Server–based accounting applications in multi-user environments.
Manage and support the following core applications:
Intuit Lacerte Tax
CCH ProSystem fx Tax
CCH ProSystem fx Engagement (SQL-based)
QuickBooks Database Server Manager for QuickBooks Enterprise & Desktop
Maintain deep familiarity with the drive mapping, permission structures, and database requirements specific to these applications.
Administer and support Windows Server environments (2012, 2022, and 2025) including:
Hyper‑V
Active Directory user and group permissions
LAN workstation connectivity
Provide advanced troubleshooting support for escalated tickets from field technicians and customer support staff.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers via:
DeskDay ticketing system
Google Chat
Text
Phone
Google Meet
When ticket volume is low, contribute to Knowledge Base documentation and assist with software upgrade and cloud migration projects.
Availability required Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm EST, when customer operations are active.
Approximately 30 hours per week, with workload fluctuating based on seasonal demand and project activity.
Remote role requiring consistent responsiveness for urgent remote support requests.
