Overview

In this role, you will play a crucial part in a large-scale infrastructure modernization initiative, transitioning virtualization platforms to Proxmox. This project involves migrating enterprise workloads across multiple data centers while ensuring zero downtime for critical systems. You will collaborate closely with a skilled team, developing strategies for migration and building new infrastructure, making a significant impact on operational excellence.

Accountabilities

• Deploy and configure Proxmox VE clusters across multiple data center locations
• Plan and execute virtual machine migrations with minimal service interruption
• Configure and optimize Ceph storage and network infrastructure
• Build automation workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and API integrations
• Leverage AI tools to optimize your workflow
• Performance monitoring
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team on testing, validation, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration phases

Requirements

• 3+ years of production experience with Proxmox VE
• 5+ years of practical virtualization administration experience
• Strong Linux system administration skills (Debian/RHEL family)
• Hands-on experience with Ceph or ZFS storage systems
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with virtualization concepts and VM migration strategies
• Experience with high-availability clustering and failover configurations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong English communication skills for team collaboration
