Job Overview
Senior Metallurgist responsible for overseeing and managing complex metallurgical projects in metal processing plants, particularly for gold, silver, and copper.
This position requires advanced technical expertise in metallurgical processes and leadership in the commissioning of metallurgical plants and pilot plants.

Responsibilities
- Supervision of Metallurgical Processes: Manage and optimize metallurgical processes in gold, silver, and copper processing plants, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.
- Develop and oversee advanced metallurgical test plans, utilizing expertise in leaching, flotation, and other hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical techniques.
- Leadership and Personnel Management: Lead and supervise teams in metallurgical plants, providing technical guidance and promoting a collaborative and safe working environment.
- Develop training and continuous improvement programs for technical personnel.
- Plant Commissioning: Oversee and actively participate in the commissioning of metallurgical plants and pilot plants, ensuring all operations meet specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and optimization of processes during startup phases.
- Metallurgical Laboratory: Plan, execute, and supervise laboratory metallurgical tests, ensuring results are accurate and scalable to plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the laboratory.
- Travel and Remote Work: Willingness to travel and work in remote locations, managing projects and providing technical support to off-site plants and laboratories.
- Communication and Reporting: Prepare technical reports and present analysis on process performance, including recommendations for continuous improvement; effectively communicate in English and interact with international teams.
Experience and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in metallurgical processes, preferably in gold, silver, and copper.
- At least 5 years of experience in metallurgical laboratories, conducting routine and advanced tests.
- Demonstrated experience in the commissioning of metallurgical plants and pilot plants.
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams in challenging environments; excellent interpersonal and personnel management skills.
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations as needed.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to effectively communicate in technical international settings.
