A global pharmaceutical company in Mexico is looking for an Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day global field operations. This role requires strong leadership in delivering accurate and timely reporting while collaborating across teams. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 7 years in sales data analytics, and proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI. This position is pivotal in ensuring operational effectiveness and driving continuous improvement initiatives, making it perfect for those passionate about analytics and team development.
Role Summary: Own day-to-day operational execution across GBS, Global field operations (GFO) service lines—on-platform reporting, off-platform reporting, sampling/analytics—ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, stable, and continuously improving. Convert prioritized business requirements into delivery plans, sprints, and releases; maintain production reliability and SLA adherence; integrate delivery with data engineering and cross-functional stakeholders across Chennai and Guadalajara.
End-to-End Delivery Leadership and Governance: Lead sprint planning, capacity planning, release management, and operational performance reviews; ensure outputs meet quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards.
Production Stability and SLA Management: Oversee SLAs, incident management, and escalation response; minimize unplanned work (hot fixes, urgent requests) and maintain environment stability.
Integrated Operating Model: Integrate on-platform, off-platform, sampling, and data engineering workstreams into a cohesive operating model; standardize workflows and eliminate silos.
Technical Feasibility and Estimation: Complete feasibility assessments within five business days of intake; provide effort estimates; ensure validated technical requirements before sprint start; maintain accurate capacity planning.
Quality Assurance and Defect Prevention: Implement robust QA frameworks; strengthen test coverage and early defect detection; maintain release protocols and audit readiness with complete documentation (logic maps, SOPs, data flows, release notes).
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Deliver measurable process improvements each quarter (cycle-time reduction, automation, defect prevention, documentation updates); introduce technologies/methods that elevate analytics and reporting capability.
Collaborate with Commercial IT, critical operations, PMO, Solution Owners, developers, and data engineers; provide consistent operational updates to GBS/GFO leadership; prepare teams for changing business priorities.
Lead and mentor global teams in Chennai and Guadalajara; establish role clarity, standards, and a culture of continuous learning; manage resource allocation, hiring plans, and succession.
Develop and maintain operational dashboards, quality indicators, and throughput metrics; deliver monthly dashboards and quarterly insights highlighting trends, bottlenecks, and recommendations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field
Experience: Minimum 7 years in sales data/analytics, field effectiveness, field reporting; 3+ years of people leadership in global environments.
Tools and Domain: Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy); Working knowledge of CRM platforms (Veeva/Salesforce), data platforms (Snowflake/Azure), and integration concepts (ETL/APIs).
Competencies: Strong project management, governance, and organizational skills; excellent communication; demonstrated process improvement and operational excellence; ability to operate across time zones.
