Overview
ASSA ABLOY is looking for a Senior Health & Safety Engineer to join our team. This position will be based onsite at our manufacturing plant located in Tijuana, Mexico.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and update plans and programs that promote safety and health at work, ensuring compliance in all areas of the company.
- Regularly inspect the facilities, equipment, machinery and processes to identify potential hazards and evaluate compliance with safety standards.
- Analyze the causes of incidents and accidents, proposing corrective and preventive measures to avoid repetition.
- Develop training programs to ensure that employees are aware of risks and prevention measures.
- Ensure that employees have the appropriate PPE and use it correctly during their work.
- Verify and ensure that the company complies with all laws, regulations and applicable norms in terms of safety and hygiene.
- Prepare reports on inspections, incident investigations, training programs and other aspects related to safety and hygiene.
- Execute weekly safety talks.
- Be responsible for Safety Metrics.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
- Continually promotes a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and Health & Safety Policy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Industrial Engineering preferred with 5 years of experience in a similar function within a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills and minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with the ability to set and manage priorities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines met.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
