This role

The Collections Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, sizing, and executing collections analyses that help answer key questions needed to improve the area's performance, measurement, and results tracking.

Additionally, this role actively contributes to data process automation, improving information transparency, resolving visibility gaps across teams, integrating multiple databases, and reducing manual work and potential human errors.

Key responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards to monitor collections performance, operational KPIs, and portfolio trends.
  • Analyze and interpret datasets related to collections processes and portfolio segmentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Data team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on data sources, metrics, dashboards, and analytical solutions that support Collections strategy and operations.
  • Integrate multiple data sources to generate comprehensive insights and conclusions.
  • Identify and drive operational efficiencies based on data analysis.
  • Automate and simplify collections processes to reduce manual effort and minimize human error.
  • Prepare and deliver program status updates and presentations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership as needed.
  • Apply a technical and analytical mindset to identify key operational drivers.
  • Implement and recommend best practices in collections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Actuary, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience working in Collections, Risk or Data department dedicated to Collections in a medium financial institution or fintech.
  • Advanced knowledge in using tools to manage big sources of data and visualization, such as: SQL, Python, Snowflake, PowerBI and Hex knowledge.
  • Exposure to collections tools.
  • Great top-down communication skills.
