Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the overall sales strategy across the Mexican market. This role oversees retail partners, key account managers, and independent sales representatives, with full accountability for profitable revenue growth, partner performance, and market expansion. The Sales Manager will act as the primary commercial leader in Mexico, aligning local execution with regional and global objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy for Mexico in alignment with regional and global goals
  • Own sales forecasting, annual planning, and budget management for the market
  • Identify growth opportunities across channels, regions, and customer segments
  • Provide strong leadership, direction, and performance management across all sales resources
Team & Channel Management
  • Lead and manage Key Account Managers and Independent Sales Representatives as needed
  • Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance expectations across all sales channels
  • Coach, develop, and motivate the sales team to exceed revenue goals
  • Optimize channel mix to maximize coverage, efficiency, and profitability
Retail & Partner Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and distributors
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and promotional programs
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand, merchandising, and sales initiatives at retail
  • Monitor partner performance and implement corrective actions when needed
Key Account Management
  • Oversee strategic national and regional key accounts
  • Support negotiations with top-tier customers and retail groups
  • Ensure strong execution of joint business plans and long-term partnerships
Market & Performance Analysis
  • Track sales performance, market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights
  • Use data to drive decisions, optimize pricing, promotions, and inventory flow
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to regional leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams
  • Ensure alignment between sales initiatives, product availability, and marketing campaigns
  • Act as the voice of the Mexican market internally
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
  • A passion for cycling and the outdoors!
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a sales leadership role
  • Proven experience managing retail partners, key accounts, and independent sales reps
  • Strong track record of building and executing sales strategies in Mexico
  • Experience working in a multi-channel or consumer-driven environment preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA a plus)
Language & Travel
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Mexico and occasionally internationally
