- Start time: 9 am PST
- Finish time: 6 pm PST
- Lunch break: 30 min and two 15 min breaks

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and results‑driven Dispatcher/Scheduler with a strong sales mindset to join our customer service team. This role plays a critical part in supporting groomers in the field by creating efficient schedules, optimizing routes, closing new and existing customer bookings, and driving recurring service retention.
The ideal candidate is confident in selling and upselling services, guiding customers to the right grooming solutions for their pets, and converting inquiries into booked and recurring appointments. This position directly impacts revenue, customer retention, and groomer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Answering incoming calls, returning voicemails and texts, and email correspondence. This includes professional handling of customer complaints and resolution within one’s scope.
- Informing customers on the services and prices our company provides, especially as applicable to their breeds and their pet’s needs and health, and making appropriate recommendations.
- Capturing accurate information to set up an appointment for the customer.
- Maintaining groomers’ fully‑booked schedules by creating, rescheduling, and canceling appointments in collaboration with groomers.
- Briefing groomers about their daily schedule, highlighting unusual circumstances and situations they may encounter.
- Responding to calls/texts from groomers in the field in real‑time regarding customer and pet issues. This requires the ability to multi‑task by setting priorities among inputs.
- Reviewing the schedule at the end of the day for completed appointments, verifying charges and payments.
- Taking credit card payments over the phone, especially when groomers are outside of cell service.
- Running and analyzing reports to assist in gaining and improving client retention.
- Keeping management and other dispatchers informed of any issues, actions, or problems.
- Confidently selling and closing mobile grooming services over the phone, text, and email.
- Converting inbound leads, inquiries, and follow‑ups into confirmed booked appointments.
- Educating customers on grooming frequency and recommending recurring grooming schedules.
- Upselling and cross‑selling additional services based on breed, coat condition, age, and pet health.
- Overcoming objections related to pricing, timing, or service concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Proactively following up with pending bookings from leads, cancellations, and inactive clients to secure business.
- Promoting loyalty, rebooking, and long‑term client relationships.
- Meeting or exceeding sales, booking, and retention KPIs tied to performance bonuses.
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain services and book new and existing customer appointments.
- 2+ years of Sales & Customer Service or relevant experience.
- Experience with accurate data entry and generating/analyzing reports.
- Very reliable, organized, flexible, empathetic, polite, a team player, professional, and with exceptional listening skills.
- Proven ability to sell, persuade, and close in a customer‑service or call‑based role.
- Comfortable discussing pricing and confidently asking for the booking.
- Strong objection‑handling and relationship‑building skills.
- Results‑driven mindset with accountability for sales and rebooking performance.
- Ability to balance customer care with revenue goals.
- Experience in service‑based sales, call center sales, or appointment booking preferred.
- Natural sociable with great customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets or Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple calls or issues at the same time.
- Positive attitude and team player – thrive on good vibes and supporting each other!
- Being a dog lover is definitely a plus.
