A leading global company in Querétaro is looking for a Mechanical Quality Engineer to ensure compliance and quality of mechanical components in switchboards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality. Responsibilities include managing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and leading improvement projects. The Mechanical Quality Engineer for Switchboards is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and robustness of mechanical components and assemblies used in Low Voltage and/or Medium Voltage switchboards. This role supports Schneider Electric’s commitment to Safety, Customer First, and Sustainability by preventing defects, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
This position acts as a key interface between Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure mechanical integrity, reliability, and conformity of switchboard products.
Assist in early deployment and use of Quality Core Tools during process design and launch:
Exposure and possibility to grow in the Queretaro Campus.
Report directly to the Quality Manager. This position will be working occasionally with corporate Quality positions as the Senior Managers and the ETO Quality Director. Additionally have strong collaboration with engineering, project managers and the operations teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality, preferably in switchboards, electrical panels, or metal‑mechanical environments. Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T basics, and BOMs. Knowledge of torque validations
Experience with quality tools and problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001). Certification as internal auditor in ISO 9001, 14001, 45000, Six sigma is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab and quality data analysis tools.
Languages: English advanced level (required for corporate, customer communication and audits)
