Role

As a Prototypes Buyer Ford Champ, you will be responsible for learning and applying negotiation strategies. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced buyers, engineers and stakeholders.

What you’ll need

What you´ll need:

• Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of of Business Administration or Automotive or a closely related discipline.
• 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating quotes and supplier information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of different materials, components, or manufacturing processes relevant to prototyping.

Responsibilities

What you´ll do:

• Support experienced buyers in the end-to-end procurement process for prototype materials and tooling.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to potential suppliers.
• Help analyze vendor proposals and quotes, comparing costs, lead times, and terms under guidance.
• Support communication with suppliers regarding quotes, order status, and delivery schedules.
• Assist in placing and tracking Purchase Orders for prototype requirements.
• Learn and apply basic negotiation principles and tactics under supervision.
• Support the maintenance of supplier information, documentation, and procurement records.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand prototype needs and specifications.
