A leading advanced technology company in Santiago de Querétaro seeks an experienced Procurement Supervisor to manage procurement operations and supplier performance. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and over five years of experience in procurement or supply chain. Candidates should be proficient in Oracle or SAP and possess strong analytical and communication skills. The position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure material availability and drive process improvements.

Formación

Responsabilidades

  • Lead daily procurement operations ensuring compliance in PO placement.

Descripción del empleo

As a Procurement Supervisor at MKS, you will partner with Engineering, Planning, Operations, Warehouse, Category Management, Finance, and Global Procurement to ensure material availability, stabilize suppliers, manage purchasing operations, and drive continuous improvement across the procurement workflow. In this role, you will report to the Procurement Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Leading the execution of daily procurement operations and ensuring high accuracy and compliance in PO placement.
  • Managing supplier performance, including OTD, confirmations, and recovery plans for delays.
  • Driving weekly shortage resolution, including escalation of high-risk items and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ensuring PR Aging, PO Aging, and Past Dues remain within target by coaching buyers and enforcing discipline in the process.
  • Supporting FAI/RAIL/NCM activities to improve material quality and turnaround time.
  • Implementing process improvements, standardizing procedures, and introducing automation tools that increase efficiency and reduce risk.
Travel Requirements

Up to 5% domestic or international travel may be required.

Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Experience using Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Dashboards).
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices, supplier management, and inventory controls.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive actions.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supervising buyers or leading a small team.
  • Experience in Mechanical/Manufacturing or high‑mix/low‑volume environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier‑development experience.
Supervisory Scope
  • Reporting Relationships: Supervises Buyers and Procurement Assistants for the Mechanical Team.
  • Financial Responsibilities: Oversight of PO accuracy, spend compliance, and contribution to cost‑saving initiatives.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (Extended)
  • Sitting and working at a computer for long periods.
  • Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with regular interactions across multiple departments.
