A global climate technologies company is seeking a Planner / Buyer in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The candidate will manage inventory levels, expedite raw materials, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure production continuity. A Bachelor's degree in business or engineering is required, along with 3 years of experience in purchasing/planning and a strong understanding of Kan-Ban and MRP systems. Role

Planner / Buyer

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates incoming material considering quantity and timing in order to maintain the desired inventory level, zero line downs, minimize final product past due, also optimize the production system utilization to analyze better the inventory status.
  • Expedites raw material in case of getting close to a low inventory level or when the transit incoming material could cause a line down or when there is a production schedule increase.
  • Coordinates the supplier issues in order to make sure they deliver on time, for any reason that could cause a risk of stopping the production schedule flow.
  • Control DOH (Days‑on‑Hand Inventory) to meet Materials department goals.
  • Analyze monthly forecast in the short and long term to identify and prevent material shortages, inventory obsolescence or excess inventory.
  • Coordinates with the industrial engineer any engineering change in order to replace as fast as possible the raw material if needed, minimize obsolescence and make sure a continuous material flow on the production lines.
  • Review aged orders and maintain system updated. The holder of this position is responsible for implementing these functions and other activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering.
  • 3 years Previous experience in purchasing / planning function.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Kan‑Ban, MPS / MRP, Microsoft software's and Oracle.
  • Fluent in English.
