Mechanical Engineer to Design wellheads and christmas tree equipment for the Oil & Gas industry.

Partner with the best

Responsible to support and execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to industry (API 6A, NACE etc.) and business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

As a Mechanical Engineer to Design wellheads and Christmas tree equipment for the Oil & Gas industry, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and Project Engineering for API6A Products – Surface Wellheads and Trees.
  • Presenting projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders.
  • Create Bills of Materials, Drawings, Design Verification Packages (Calculations), system Layouts, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Prepare invention disclosure to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews.
  • Work cross functionally with people from other functions.
  • Communicate Lessons Learned / share engineering information to promote open dialogue.
Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, strength of materials, and materials science.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in mechanical design working in a similar role (preferably on Oil Field Equipment Design).
  • Experience with 3D CAD Modeling Software (Creo preferred), simulation tools, and math calculations software (Mathcad preferred).
  • Be familiar with the use of PLM software, preferably Teamcenter.
  • Be fluent in English and Spanish
