Job Description
- Monitoring and coordinating the activities of Materials Planning and procurement through MRP system and monitoring proper stock levels.
- Maintaining the Master data parameters with supply basis to ensure materials are available on time.
- Representing Lennox Commercial in negotiations and new contracts according to policies and suppliers’ guidelines.
- Aligning with inventory strategies such as Lot-size, demand fluctuation, and ordering costs.
- Developing strategies to improve and reduce material costs.
- Creating strategies to reduce the impact of PPVs.
- Ensuring departmental budgeting.
- Identifying market risks and adapting to rapid changes in supply basis.
- Searching, evaluating, and improving strategic suppliers focused on raw and indirect materials.
- Developing and maintaining inventory control systems to track purchase orders, inventory levels, and production requirements.
- Playing a key role in NPI and engineering changes (coordinated and ongoing changes).
- Following up on supplier care, including quality, quantity, and delivery factors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 8 years of related experience in sourcing and supplier development.
- Knowledge of concepts like purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban, and supplier development.
- Expert negotiation skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with executives and in international contexts.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
- Proficiency in computerized procurement systems.
- Understanding of inventory strategies to manage turns, levels, and obsolescence.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to provide effective work leadership.
- Experience with INMEX and follow-up processes.
- Proficiency in English.
