A leading manufacturing company in Veracruz, Mexico is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to oversee the Master Scheduling process, ensuring optimal production scheduling against demand. Qualified candidates will have a degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain, at least 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, and strong leadership skills. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. This full-time role offers a mid-senior level opportunity within a dynamic and challenging environment.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning within the same industry sector.
  • APICS CPIM certification or commitment to obtain an equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to develop spreadsheets.

Primary Function

The Master Scheduler will manage the Master Scheduling process (MPS): quoted lead time, order scheduling, order promising and overall fulfillment.

Working with the SIOP / CSR / Demand Planning Team, they will use proven leadership and change management skills to understand the overall demand objectives and convert them into an optimal product family unit and dollar forecast.

They will manage capacity and service level forecasting, available-to-promise (ATP) logic, and capacity / constraint management.

The role is to schedule all assigned product line(s), balancing customer needs with manufacturing / supply-chain constraints to maximize on-time delivery and drive continuous process improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on historical data and marketing sales input.
  • Schedule customer demand (external and internal) against the master schedule.
  • Collaborate with CSR / Engineering to support new product development.
  • Provide customer support for order changes, lead-time inquiries, expedites, and status updates.
  • Maintain and publish product lead times for responsible product lines on a weekly basis.
  • Develop and maintain planning parameters of materials for product lines.
  • Schedule engineer-to-order requirements with Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.
  • Manage material shortages, backlogs, and quality issues by rearranging the production schedule.
  • Utilize Rough Cut Capacity Planning to refine the schedule based on capacity / lead-time constraints against forecast and booked orders.
  • Assist in resolving MRP and planning discrepancies.
  • Approve revised goods issue dates (RGID).
  • Develop integrated tools providing accurate planning information and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain planning data integrity in the system to ensure reliable downstream information.
  • Hold employees accountable for performance issues and provide coaching and support where needed.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, employee satisfaction, and engagement.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning within the same industry sector.
  • Experience in managing, developing, and coaching people.
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools.
  • APICS CPIM certification or commitment to obtain an equivalent.
  • Advanced analytical and cognitive skills.
  • Experience with MRP, MPS, and min-max tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Power BI, and similar BI / database management tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to develop spreadsheets.
  • English / Spanish bilingual (written and spoken).
