Overview

We are looking for a Finance Manager to play a critical role in Mexico, as a finance partner for the Prime & Marketing team. The role will support multiple senior marketing business leaders, with broad scope and autonomy. This strategic role will drive financial planning, analysis, and decision-making for Amazon's marketing investments and Prime business in Mexico. The right individual will have exceptional finance skills, strong understanding of Finance & Accounting principles, solid analytical skills, firm business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results, and an ability to influence and earn trust with senior leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards used for consolidation reports. Measure marketing programs on P&L in a short and long term
  • Establish guardrails in Marketing and Prime's team willingness to invest in acquiring or retaining customers
  • Develop relationships with business teams, implement new processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Annual Plans, Forecasts, Month End Close and Variance Analysis

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 6+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • Advanced English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
