Job Purpose

BorgWarner SLP is currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our PowerDrive Systems business unit team.

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the general maintenance of company assets and for ensuring process continuity through the availability of machinery, equipment, and services. This role plans and directs approaches, improvements, and activities to ensure that production and non-production areas operate efficiently, effectively, and safely while meeting established objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial, material, and human resources assigned to the maintenance area.
  • Coordinate with the Quality/Manufacturing Engineering teams to optimize asset utilization.
  • Support the Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor in decision-making processes requiring direct involvement.
  • Develop and implement the annual preventive and predictive maintenance program for assigned areas.
  • Coordinate with the GSM department for the acquisition and administration of spare parts and materials.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate preventive, predictive, and RCM maintenance techniques for each piece of equipment.
  • Prevent equipment and machinery failures through reaction and contingency planning.
  • Conduct statistical studies and performance indicator analysis to generate control and improvement actions with direct impact on production processes.
  • Manage, supervise, and provide training or coordinate training for assigned staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and reliability.
What We Are Looking For
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Technical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Electrical installations, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control.
    • Industrial machinery maintenance and TPM pillars.
    • General services, predictive maintenance, RCM, and statistical maintenance control.
  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Travel Availability: Yes – approximately twice per year.
  • English: Preferred.
