Una empresa líder en soluciones de interconexión busca un Ingeniero de Automatización en Mexicali, Baja California. Este rol implica planificar y diseñar soluciones automatizadas para procesos de manufactura y requiere experiencia en gestión de transferencias tecnológicas y principios de producción Lean. Se requiere conocimiento en programación, resolución de problemas y capacidad para trabajar en equipo. La posición es de tiempo completo con un horario nocturno (12:00 am a 6:00 am) de lunes a sábado.

Formación

  • Tres a cinco años de experiencia en automatización de manufactura.
  • Conocimiento de prácticas de manufactura lean (Kanban, Poke-Yoke).
  • Entender y aplicar estándares de seguridad ergonómica y de máquina.

Responsabilidades

  • Planificar y diseñar soluciones de automatización para procesos de manufactura.
  • Desarrollar y ejecutar mejoras en la automatización de procesos.
  • Gestionar la compra e instalación de equipos.

Responsabilidades

This individual will plan and design automation solutions for manufacturing processes. Requires strong experience managing and coordinating manufacturing technology transfer experience, in addition, requires experience in the Lean production principles and tools; capable of analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force to maximize efficiency; and improving production design for manufacturability.

  • Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs for equipment
  • Manage equipment purchase and installation
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation
  • Coordinate projects
  • Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
  • Develop systems and layouts that follow lean manufacturing philosophies of one-piece flow and kanban, with emphasis on mistake proofing.
  • Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates
  • Manage tooling and gauge design and drawings
  • Provide training and guidance to all employee levels in the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
  • Meet and drive equipment OEE and Uptime
  • In collaboration with Process Engineering drive RTY , FPY and Scrap metric health and improvements.

Horario: 12:00 am - 6:00 am

Requisitos
  • Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented personality
  • Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team
  • Availability to travel
  • Valid USA Visa and Mexican passport
  • Manufacturing Automation Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience
  • Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Tool and fixture design and GD&T
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Understanding and functional knowledge of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems. Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics
  • Machine specification and purchase order writing
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities
  • Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
  • Autocad / Solidworks / MS Office suite
  • Strong Communication skills (written and speaking)
