ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a creative, technically adept, and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to collaborate on the conceptual and visual development of new industrial and consumer products. This role bridges the gap between creative vision and production reality — transforming ideas into beautiful, user-centered, and manufacturable designs that align with our brand DNA and global production capabilities.
You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, suppliers, and marketing teams to ensure each product achieves the perfect balance of form, function, and feasibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Concept & Design Development
- Lead concept ideation, sketching, and visualization for new product lines and revisions of current ones.
- Translate insights and creative briefs into design directions, mockups, and 3D concepts.
- Develop 3D CAD models and high-fidelity renderings using SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, KeyShot, etc.
- Apply ergonomic and user-centered design principles to ensure comfort, usability, and desirability.
- Create presentation-ready visuals for leadership and stakeholder reviews.
Prototyping & Validation
- Build and test functional prototypes using rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies.
- Conduct field trials to validate ergonomics, durability, and user experience.
- Integrate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles into each project.
- Iterate designs based on prototype performance and manufacturing feedback.
Manufacturing & Engineering Collaboration
- Work directly with engineering, sourcing, and factory partners globally to refine products for production.
- Ensure alignment of design intent with mechanical feasibility, cost targets, and production scalability.
- Contribute to BOM creation, change logs, and compliance documentation (Prop65, PFAS, etc.).
- Support the transition from design phase to pilot and full-scale production, ensuring consistency in CMF and build quality.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with Marketing and Go-To-Market teams to ensure visual identity aligns with brand storytelling.
- Participate in design reviews with leadership, offering solutions that balance beauty, performance, and manufacturability.
- Maintain open communication with Creative, Ops, and Supply Chain for holistic product lifecycle alignment.
Research & Innovation
- Stay ahead of trends in materials, finishes, and emerging manufacturing techniques.
- Propose innovative approaches to sustainability, lightweighting, and user experience optimization.
- Contribute to evolving the visual design language of both brands.
