A global research organization based in Mexico City is seeking an Import Export Specialist to oversee import and export processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in logistics. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics.

Import Export Specialist - Hybrid Mexico City

Location: Mexico City, Insurgentes Sur

Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Overseeing the import and export processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
  • Conducting audits and reviews of import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Resolving any logistics issues or discrepancies related to shipments, customs, and trade compliance.
  • Staying informed about changes in trade regulations and providing guidance on best practices for international shipping.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree completed in supply chain management, international business, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in import/export coordination or logistics, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Import & Export regulations in Mexico and LATAM countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia & Peru) is a plus.
  • Experience in importing and/or exporting clinical trial supplies (Ex: Drug, biological samples, medical equipment, electronic devices…) is a plus.
  • Proficient in import/export documentation and processes, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • English advanced.
