Baker Hughes seeks a GTC Manager for the Caribbean and Canada to oversee tax compliance, audits, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in tax matters, accounting qualifications, and strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.

As GTC Manager - Caribbean, Canada & AR WHT, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing the tax compliance of indirect and direct tax of assigned legal entities in Canada and the Caribbean Region.
  • Supporting Tax Audits from a transactional perspective, seeking proactive and efficient ways to minimize manual work.
  • Analyzing and preparing accounting adjustments to ensure the tax position matches the GL.
  • Fulfilling and updating the tax trackers to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of tasks regularly.
  • Collaborating on the Tax Asset monetization initiatives and providing operational support to the Regional Tax Team.
  • Liaising and working collaboratively with the broader tax organization and finance organization.
  • Proactively seeking process improvements and automation.
  • Supporting all other ad hoc projects as they arise.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Possess a CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification in taxation.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years experience in Latin America Taxation compliance, Caribbean, Canada (In-house multinational or Big 4).
  • Be fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Have experience with Oracle and/or SAP.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, OneSource, and Blackline is a plus.
  • Have at least 2 years experience managing teams.

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in HR Operations, Payroll & Benefits, Global Mobility, or Shared Service Centers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
