A leading engineering firm in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico is seeking an Export Control Analyst to ensure compliance with export regulations while conducting data and financial analysis. Export Control Analyst (Data & Finance Analyst)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Export Control Analyst (Data & Finance Analyst) to join our team in Cuautitlan Izcalli, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with export control regulations while conducting data and financial analysis to support our international trade operations.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze export transactions to ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations
  • Conduct thorough reviews of product classifications, licensing requirements, and end‑user screenings
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and potential compliance risks in export activities
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to export operations
  • Develop and maintain databases to track export control information and compliance metrics
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement and improve export control processes
  • Stay up‑to‑date with changes in export control regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in internal audits and prepare documentation for external audits
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on export control compliance matters
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 3‑5 years of experience in export control or related field
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, particularly those related to export compliance
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial reporting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with statistical analysis software
  • Experience with database management and maintaining compliance records
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Certified Export Specialist (CES) certification preferred
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills highly desirable
