Responsibilities
The Opportunity
The Demand Planner contributes to PepsiCo Beverages success by developing accurate sales forecasts. This is accomplished by leveraging data and statistical models to guide the decision‑making process for the assigned markets in consultation with other key process stakeholders.
Your Impact
As Demand Planning Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:
- Support DP weekly processes including cuts review, bias review, outliers and activity request forms
- Identify drivers of error with the stat forecast and work with stat forecasting partners to resolve
- Manage division innovation forecasts by reviewing and adjusting raw case forecast and planner codes and working with the sector team to incorporate strategic direction. Own UPC end to end consolidation process
- Work with division teams to drive improvement and visibility to B and C segment forecast accuracy
- Develop disaggregation analysis reporting and provide customer planners with opportunities to drive forecast accuracy through adjustments
- Support ad-hoc analytical needs as needed by developing programs, tools, analyzing data, and/or creating visualizations in Excel and/or Power Bi/Tableau
- Drive continuous improvement agenda by automating core processes including the case load in process
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree developing and implementing business analytics solutions.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in:
- Statistical modeling and programming using SAS, R, or Python, preferably applied to demand forecasting.
- Working with large datasets and writing SQL queries in relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
- Using UNIX environments, including shell scripting, and VBA macros in Excel.
- Developing insights and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and/or Excel (VBA).
- Ability to analyze data and processes to identify root causes of supply chain challenges, including product shortages, low sales performance, irregular promotion impacts, and seasonality effects.
- Experience collaborating with IT and technical support teams on initiatives such as system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
- Experience implementing or using demand forecasting tools, with a solid understanding of the demand planning process.
